By completing this Traineeship, you will gain the expertise needed to excel in a hospitality hospitality setting. The assessment process is founded on the principles of competency-based training. Your performance will be measured based on your ability to carry out tasks to industry standards. To ensure validity, we employ a variety of learning styles and assessment strategies.

The criteria for assessment are documented in all modules and workbooks. Once the traineeship commences, you'll receive the dates of assessments and a timetable. Your assessment may include a combination of continuous assessments and examinations, based on competencies and marks, or both.

Dylan's favorite item at Hungry Jack’s is the BBQ Cheeseburger. His favorite quote by Eric Thomas reflects his drive for success: “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”
Lucy joined Training Unlimited in January 2024 after working at McDonald's since 2014. She's enthusiastic about her new role as a Training Specialist, especially because it provides daily opportunities to learn and grow. Lucy enjoys the variety in her work, from leading large food safety classes to engaging with individuals one-on-one. She finds excitement in interacting with diverse personalities, making each day unique. This constant variety and chance to build new skills keep her engaged and motivated. Her favorite item at Hungry Jack's is a simple one: tomato and mayo. Lucy's favorite quote, "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. Amy joined Training Unlimited in February 2022, bringing over 20 years of experience from her career with Hungry Jack’s, where she held various positions, including Certified Restaurant Trainer (CRT). She started at Hungry Jack’s when she was just 14, making TU only her second job. As a Training Specialist, Amy enjoys interacting with a diverse range of people across different locations. Her passion lies in helping young workers advance their skills and knowledge, drawing on her extensive experience in the hospitality industry. She finds fulfillment in guiding the next generation of workers toward success. Amy's favorite item at Hungry Jack’s is the Junior Whopper with Cheese—add bacon, beetroot, and angry onion, with no pickle! Her favorite quote by Benjamin Franklin speaks to her approach to training: “Tell me and I will forget. Teach me and I will remember. Involve me and I will learn.”
Colbey joined Training Unlimited in January 2024 after working at McDonald's from 2019 to 2022. He's an extrovert who thrives on interacting with people, and he enjoys the supportive management structure and collaborative team environment at TU. Colbey's favorite aspect of his role is leading Food Safety Supervisor classes. He enjoys facilitating sessions with upwards of 25 people, creating an engaging atmosphere for group discussions and collaboration with food industry experts. His enthusiasm for helping others develop their skills makes him a standout Training Specialist. His favorite item at Hungry Jack's? The BBQ Cheeseburger. Emma joined Training Unlimited in October 2022 after spending 20 years at Hungry Jack’s, bringing a wealth of experience to the role. She infuses joy into every connection she makes and is known for her enthusiasm and dedication. Emma's favorite item at Hungry Jack's is the JFC (Jack's Fried Chicken) burger with cheese. She finds joy in being part of a team, thriving on teamwork and focusing on smashing goals and hitting enrolment targets. As a Training Specialist, she runs info sessions with the client to develop their knowledge of the traineeship program. Lianna joined Training Unlimited at the beginning of 2023, relocating from Coffs Harbour, NSW, to take on this new role and advance her career. Before joining TU, she worked at another Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) giant, McDonald's, since the age of fourteen. Now, she's excited to bring her experience to Hungry Jack's trainees. Lianna's favorite part of being a Training Specialist is engaging face-to-face in store sessions. She enjoys meeting new people and is passionate about helping trainees develop their skills. Lianna brings energy and fun to Food Safety Supervisor courses, aiming to make every training session enjoyable. Her favorite Hungry Jack's item is the Bacon Deluxe without tomato—"So yummy!" Lianna's go-to quote is "Live each day as if your life had just begun, because You Only Live Once."
Lisa joined Training Unlimited in May 2021, bringing with her 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. As a qualified chef by trade, she has worked across many sectors, including fast food and restaurant management, before moving into an operations supervisor role. Now, she enjoys her dream job at TU, where she shares her expertise with Hungry Jack's trainees. Lisa's favorite part of being a Training Specialist is visiting stores every day and building relationships with her trainees. She enjoys guiding them through the 12-month journey, watching them grow more confident and knowledgeable over time. Her favorite item at Hungry Jack's is the Cheeseburger. Lisa's favorite quote by Theodore Roosevelt embodies her approach to training: "Believe you can and you're halfway there."
